BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Muslims should emulate Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasalam in all aspects of life, including in performing solat or the daily prayers. In the aspect of prayer, the Messenger of Allah SAW never missed performing the mass prayers at the mosque even during illness.  Allah the Almighty bestows multiple blessings and rewards to people who always perform the obligatory prayers in congregation at the mosques.   The matter was the highlight of today's Friday sermon titled "Sembahyang Berjemaah Meraih Berkat".

In the Khutbah or sermon, the prayer leaders said among Allah's rewards to people who perform the mass prayers at the mosques are, their sins are forgiven and their status elevated, a person who sits in the mosque waiting for the mass prayer is considered or counted as having performed the obligatory prayer in congregation, and the Malaikat or angels will supplicate that Allah the Almighty blesses and forgives them.  Those who sit in the mosque with the niat of 'i'tikaf' or performing religious deeds will also reap many blessings from Allah the Creator.
